Questions
What counts as a scan?
One verification run over a block of text or a file. Faultline extracts every claim, checks each against live sources, and returns a trust score plus a list of anything it could not verify. Your plan’s monthly limit is the number of these runs.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan gives you 5 scans per month with JSON and SARIF export and no card required. Personal ($19/mo) raises that to 100 scans, and Pro ($49/mo) to 500.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are month-to-month with no lock-in and no contract. Cancel from your dashboard and you keep access through the end of the billing period.
What is the difference between managed-key and bring-your-own-key scans?
Personal and Pro run on Faultline’s managed provider keys, capped by your monthly scan limit. Enterprise can bring its own provider keys for unlimited scans, and still includes 500 managed-key scans per seat each month with overages billed at $0.15 per scan.
Which AI providers does Faultline verify against?
Pro and Enterprise can route verification across every supported provider; Free and Personal use the default provider. Pro and Enterprise also unlock batch scanning, PDF audit export, team workspaces, and API access.
How is Faultline different from a grammar or plagiarism checker?
Those check style and originality. Faultline checks whether the factual claims in AI output are true — verifying citations against live sources and flagging fabricated references and hallucinations before they ship.
Do you store the text I scan?
Signed-in scan history is saved to your account so you can revisit past results. If you scan without an account, results stay in your browser’s local storage and never leave the device.
